ShopRite promotes hunger awareness

    WARWICK-Warwick ShopRite, in partnership with various companies and organizations, is promoting hunger awareness through Partners In Caring in a series of events between now and June 29. National Hunger Awareness Day is a grassroots movement to raise awareness about the solvable problem of hunger in America. Local ShopRite stores will hold fund-raising events to raise money in the fight against hunger. ShopRite of Warwick will be holding the following events: • June 5: Hot dog sale. • June 8: Root Beer float sale. • June 11: Car wash. • June 18: Outdoor fund-raising event. • June 22: Root beer float sale. Local charities will be at the store on June 7 and will also be at the June 18 fund raiser to talk about hunger, charities that they support, and how they help to feed the hungry in our local community. Meanwhile, General Mills is running a promotion at ShopRite stores June 5 - 11 by donating $1 to ShopRite Partners In Caring for every four General Mills products purchased, up to $20,000.
