Second meeting of the Warwick Arts and Music Booster organization set for Nov. 21

    Warwick — Parents and community members in the Warwick Valley School District who are interested in supporting the arts in our schools are invited to attend the second meeting of the Music and Arts Booster Club. The kickoff meeting for this new club was held on Oct. 11, with about 40 in attendance, including many teachers, parents and community members. A steering committee was formed from volunteers including representatives of the music program, the arts program, parents with backgrounds in fund raising and grant-writing, and an administrator-liaison. The Warwick Arts and Music Booster Organization (WAMBO) is dedicated to creating and funding enrichment programs, scholarships, field trips, master classes and special equipment for Warwick schools. The second general meeting of the Music and Arts Booster Club will take place on Mon., Nov. 21, from 7 to 8:15 p.m., at the Dorothy C. Wilson Education Center at the Middle School. The meeting is open to community members, parents, teachers and students - all Warwick arts and music lovers. Your talent, skills and energy are needed to help our artistic and musical students reach their creative potential.
