Warwick - Petitions asking state legislators to reform school funding and reduce the property tax burden are available for signing in the lobby of Town Hall, according to Supervisor Michael P. Sweeton. The petitions will be presented to local legislators this fall. In other town business: • Public access to Greenwood Lake and the newly revamped Waterfront Park on Windermere Avenue is now open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Season passes can be obtained from the Town Clerk’s office by calling 986-1124 or at the Greenwood Lake Village Hall at 477-9215. • Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt, R-Greenwood Lake, will bring her mobile office to Town Hall on Thursday, July 20, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. • A public hearing entitled “Creation of a Back-Up Drainage District for Alan G. & Elizabeth House” is scheduled for July 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway. The next regular meeting of the Town Board will follow. Sweeton also noted: “Until we can convince New York State to allow us to set our own speed limits on Town Roads, I ask everyone to please slow down. Our roads are narrow, rural roads with many twists and turns. Now that school is out and road crews are making repairs, high speed can be particularly dangerous. The Warwick Police Department will be actively pursing speed enforcement this summer. Your cooperation is appreciated.” For town information log on to www.townofwarwick.org or turn to Cablevision Municipal Channel 21.
