Schervier Pavilion hosts holiday party

WARWICK Colorful decorations, a brightly lit Christmas tree, live music, refreshments, families, friends and a visit from Santa all contributed to good Holiday spirit at Schervier Pavilion. On Thursday, Dec. 22, attendees toasted each other with eggnog in the reception area of the skilled nursing facility, on the Warwick Healthcare Campus that it shares with Mount Alverno Center and St. Anthony Community Hospital. Everyone was treated to a variety of refreshments, gifts, and live entertainment. The Cliff Scholl Trio performed traditional Holiday favorites, and Santa made a surprise visit, wending his way around the room while greeting everyone and handing out special treats. Seasonal and holiday events have an important value in long term care at Schervier Pavilion, according to Kari Call, a certified therapy recreation specialist and director of recreation at the pavilion.
