Safety recall information available at Recalls.gov
Goshen Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana and Orange County Commissioner of Consumer Affairs Charles Mitchell want to remind consumers that the federal government maintains listings for government-initiated recalls, which are gathered from all federal agencies. “I would urge consumers to visit www.Recalls.gov to check the latest government agency recalls,” Diana said. “In the wake of the most recent recalls of baby cribs, beef products and car seats it is vital that consumers have a quick and easy reference to review product safety recalls.” Added Commissioner Mitchell, “I have always believed that the research you do before the purchase is as important as the purchase itself.” Consumers may also find additional information by visiting the New York State Consumer Protection Board’s website at www.nysconsumer.gov or the Orange County website at www.orangecountygov.com and click Department of Consumer Affairs or call 291-2400.
