Retired teachers elect officers

Goshen — The Mid-Hudson Retired Teachers Association (MARTA) recently elected the following officers for 2006-07: Officers — president, Janet Ford; first vice president, Marge Quinn; second vice president, Penny Kersten; corresponding secretary, Jacqueline Gerkeo; recreational secretary, Avablee Mitchell; treasurer, Jack Stone; past president, Harriet Beers. Committee chairs — Friendly Services, Yvonne Fritz Health; Bill Arnold, historian; Martha Diederich, Legislation; Lillian Costa, Membership; Dorothy Giannico, Public Relations; Janet Richards, Resolutions; Frieda Baird, Scholarship; Rudy Lantelme; Travel, Shirley Gordon.
