WARWICK-When Robert Sansky, executive vice president and president, Northern Region, of Provident Bank, read that the Warwick Animal Shelter was short of pet food, he decided to do something about it. Sansky is a dog owner who recently rescued a stray puppy and brought it to the shelter, which is located just off Kings Highway and owned and operated by the Warwick Valley Humane Society. "Provident Bank often contributes to charitable organizations which serve the people in our community," he said. "But pets are also an important part of the lives of the citizens of Warwick and I thought, since Provident is happy to be part of this community, it's important that we do something to help those who care for our pets." Suzyn Barron, president of the Warwick Valley Humane Society, and Lee Peterson, corresponding secretary, accepted the delivery of pet food. They also brought along "Monroe," one of the Shelter's residents, who represented the beneficiaries of the generous donation. "Bob Sansky and his wife, Lois, have always been strong supporters of the Warwick Valley Humane Society," said Peterson. "And we appreciate this much needed assistance from Provident Bank," added Barron.
