Warwick — For the fifth consecutive year, a popular golf event in the hudson valley has raised almost $80,000 for its sponsor, the Warwick Healthcare Campus, including St. Anthony Community Hospital, Schervier Pavilion and Mount Alverno Center in Warwick. The Annual Golf Classic sponsored by St. Anthony Community Hospital was held on Monday, Sept. 10 at the Crystal Springs Golf and Spa Resort in Hardyston, NJ. Four years ago, in response to heavy demand, the committee had to double accommodations by holding its golf event on both Wild Turkey and Crystal Springs courses. For the past five years the event has been sold out. This year’s hole-in-one prizes were a new Chevrolet Impala courtesy of Country Chevy and a new Ford Fusion courtesy of Leo Kaytes Ford. Both dealerships are located in Warwick. Golfers also received a variety of amenities and were treated to breakfast and lunch and, later that afternoon, a dinner, courtesy of many generous sponsors. A silent auction as well as special raffles, prizes and awards presentations were also part of the day’s events. The Platinum Sponsors for this year were Warwick Savings Foundation and Verizon Wireless. Dinner co-sponsors were Holt Construction, Laborers Local 17 Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trusts (LECET) and Warwick Emergency Physicians, P.C., an affiliate of MedExcel USA, Inc. Breakfast and Lunch was provided courtesy of Armistead Mechanical and Provident Bank. This year’s Gold Sponsors were Kennedy Companies, Inc., Perkins and Will Architects, and Regional EMS. Silver Sponsors were Country Chevrolet/SAAB, Green Mountain Landscaping, Leo Kaytes Ford, Mehl Electrical, TD Banknorth and Warwick Car Wash and Oil Express, and The Green Team. Many other Bogey and Tee sponsors, as well as other contributors supported the event. Leo R. Kaytes and Frank Petrucci continued to serve as co-chairs for the Classic. Members of the committee included Eric Blanton, Rudy Breedy, Leah Cerkvenik, Ron Charlton, Jean Ciampo, Joe Debold, Niki Folina, Frank Giordano, Geoff Green, Laura Green, Bo Kennedy, R. Michael Kennedy, Ann Lombardi, Jason McGovern, Terry Quint, and Chris Zimmerli. All monies raised from the outing will be used to help support the Bon Secours Warwick Health Care Campus, which includes St. Anthony Community Hospital, Mt. Alverno Center Adult Home and Schervier Pavilion Health Care Facility. The Warwick Health Care Campus provides a wide range of acute care, long and short-term health care and residential services to residents of Orange County, New York and Sussex County, New Jersey.
