Preschoolers visit firehouse

| 28 Sep 2011 | 03:00

Area preschool children visited the volunteer firefighters of the Goodwill Hook and Ladder Company in Warwick to learn about fire safety as part of Fire Prevention Week, October 9 to 15. Students at the Bright Beginnings Methodist Preschool were greeted by a fire fighter in full gear, to help them remember that fire fighters are their friends. The children also had doughnuts and cider, compliments of the fire company, and saw the equipment and sat on one of the trucks that the volunteers use to protect our local communities. The preschool is a non-profit school operated by the Warwick Methodist Church located at 135 Forester Ave. in Warwick.
