Polish Legion of American Vets and Ladies Auxiliary install new officers

Pine Island - The Polish Legion of American Vets Post and the Pine Island Memorial Post 16 Ladies Auxiliary installed new officers during ceremonies in November to lead the group into its 75th year. The new officers are: Commander Wayne Miller; Sr. Vice Commander Fred Pason; Jr. Vice Commander Frank Bednar; Treasurer Leonard Pawliczak; Secretary Roland Paffenroth; Financial Secretary Bill Grohowski; VAVS Representative Pete Dombroski; Sergeant at Arms Frank Barczak; Quarter Master Charles Dauksza; Chairman of the Board Roger Doty; Chaplain Rich Labanowski; and Directors Danny Kaczmar and George Kozykowski. The Ladies Auxiliary will be led by President Gloria Pason; Vice President Jeanne Miller; Recording Secretary Barbara Korycki; Financial Secretary Florence Noger; Treasurer Sandy Jeleniak; Sergeant at Arms Tessie Zovistoski; VAVS Representative Mary Lou Charles; VAVS Deputies Gloria Pason, Sandy Jeleniak and Theresa Dombroski; Chaplain/Welfare Clara Schultz; Historian/PRO Vicki Rheaume; and State Delegates Gloria Pason, Jeanne Miller, Loretta Todman and Fran Ortiz. The Post and Ladies Auxiliary invite all to see the new memorial located at the comer of Legion Road and Pulaski Highway. It is a beautiful tribute to servicemen and women, past and present.
