Woodbury. Warwick man charged with DWI with more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system

    On Sunday, March 14, at approximately 3:15 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Woodbury for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

    Police said the driver of the vehicle, Kyle J. Wierzbicki, 26, of Warwick, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Tarrytown where police said his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.20 percent.

    In New York State, the legal limit is .08.

    Wierzbicki was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

    Police said he was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Woodbury Court on May 26.
