Warwick — A routine traffic stop was what led Warwick police Officer Jason Brasier to four teenagers who had randomly targeted neighborhoods throughout the town with paint ball guns. Two 16-year-olds, one 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, all from the Warwick-Chester area, were charged with criminal mischief and conspiracy Sunday night after Brasier pulled them over for a traffic infraction. All were charged as youthful offenders. While interviewing the teens, Brasier noticed signs of fresh pain in the car. His questioning ultimately led to their arrests, according to Warwick police Sergeant John Rader. Rader said the incidents began last Friday night and continued throughout the weekend on Crescent Avenue, Laura Lane and Distillery Road. In all, nine police calls were linked to this arrest. No one was hurt in any of the attacks, all of which were random, Rader said. The teens were released to their parents and will appear in town court Tuesday. They could face fines and possible jail time.
