Florida During the week of April 24 to 28, the children at Golden Hill Elementary School - in kindergarten, and grades 1 and 2 - each planted a class garden. John Lupinski, the president of Orange County Farm Bureau, along with his wife Diana Lupinski, the coordinator of agriculture in the classroom, came to the school to plant vegetables with the children. “It is such a pleasure to see the school children interested in the planting of their gardens,” said John Lupinski. “It’s our pleasure to help them.” The seeds were donated by Carol Korey of Stokes Seeds. The vegetables planted included green and red leaf lettuce, spinach, and radishes, all of which will be ready for harvest by the end of school in June.
