Pine Island celebrates Earth Day

Pine Island — Although barely recovering from flooding caused by recent heavy rains, large numbers of Pine Island residents and visitors still managed to visit the Rogowski Farm on Saturday, April 21, for Earth Day festivities. Earlier that morning, as part of the Earth Day celebration, members of the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce unveiled a new “Welcome to Pine Island” sign on County 1 at Little Brook Road. The Chamber also manned a table at the Rogowski Farm to display its new plan to beautify the hamlet.
