Picnic time at St. Joseph's in Florida

| 28 Sep 2011 | 02:54

Florida - The day began with an outdoor mass at 11:30 last Sunday morning. It ended with a tribute to the victims and their families of the terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11 four years ago. In between those sobering moments was a good old-fashioned get-together of parishioners, relatives and friends with music, Macaroni the Clown, a pie-baking contest, games for children and a wide assortment of food and drink. As a fund raiser, it was a huge success. As a parish celebration of unity and good cheer, it was an even greater success. The pastor at St. Joseph's is the Rev Joseph M. Tokarczyk. The weekend associate is the Rev. Joseph Doran.
