Warwick — On Friday, Oct. 21, in the true spirit of fall, the pre-kindergarten class from Warwick Day Care Center took a pumpkin picking field trip. The children put on their fall gear and took a ride on the Bon Secours’ bus, driven by Joe Garvey, to Pennings Farm. The day included pumpkin picking and a hay ride. They also got to walk through a maze and see farm animals. Upon their return to the day care center, the children carved the pumpkins for their classroom’s Halloween celebration. On Halloween Day, the children had a Halloween Parade through downtown Warwick, followed by a party thrown by Country Chevy. On Saturday, Oct. 29, an adult Halloween Party at Mt. Peter Ski Area included cash prizes for best costumes. On Wednesday, Nov. 9, the day care will be opening their doors in the evening for a “Holiday Shopping Bazaar,” with various vendors selling pocket-books, jewelry, cosmetics, candles, and more.
