Parents Run AMOC brings holiday cheer

Goshen It was a festive day at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen on Dec. 1 as Parents Run AMOC (Autism Move-A-Thon of Orange County) hosted its second annual holiday breakfast. Well over 200 people came to nosh on scrambled eggs, French toast, pastries and more. Live music and face painting were among the many activities available for everyone. And, of course, the big guy himself, Santa Clause, had quite a few gifts to give his visitors. Parents Run AMOC is a volunteer group raising awareness and understanding for those on the autism spectrum. The goal of the group, which was formed in 2004, is to provide support both financial and emotional for families with a member diagnosed with autism. And in this case, the group spread some holiday cheer as well.
