Parenting workshop at museum

Cornwall The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will be hosting a parenting workshop “Discipline Tips From the Young Naturalists Classroom: How to Set Firm But Reasonable Limits” at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Join Sandy Dixon, head teacher of the young naturalists pre-K program, to discuss techniques to use at home to make discipline more effective. Learn positive discipline techniques that will help teach and guide children’s behavior. Dixon has designed a series of interactive parenting workshops to encourage and support parents, as they deal with the challenges of parenting young children in today’s consumer society. The workshop will be held at the farmhouse of the Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, 20 Kenridge Farm Drive, Route 9W, Cornwall. Registration is requested and is $5, Members, $2.
