Paintball match for those who wear the badge

    Middletown — Ring Homestead Camp is looking for police officers, firefighters, emergency medical service workers, and military personnel to join its "Battle of the Badges" paintball competition. The "battle" will be waged from 9 a.m. to dusk on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 257 Lybolt Rd. in Middletown. The camp will form six-person teams. A $50 per-person fee will include paintball markers and an all-you-can eat barbecue. Wristbands for beer will be available for $20. Each team will get 500 paintballs. Trophies will be awarded for first and second place at the end of the tournament Participants are invited to bring a tent and stay overnight to play the next day for just the cost of their paint. A 50/50 raffle will be held to benefit the Disabled American Veterans. Advance registration is required.
