Outstanding Warwick students recognized

Goshen - On May 27, Orange-Ulster BOCES hosted the annual Outstanding Students Recognition Dinner honoring students from High Schools throughout Orange County. Students representing 20 schools, including parochial schools and the BOCES program, their families and school administrators gathered at the Inn at Central Valley for a ceremony recognizing their achievements. Representing Warwick Valley High School were Class of 2009 Valedictorian Anna Bisaro and Salutatorian Rebecca Starer. Bisaro will be attending Northwestern University in Chicago, Ill., in the fall with plans to major in journalism. Starer plans to major in business and marketing at the University of Maryland. The young women were accompanied by their parents, Paul and Kathryn Bisaro and Michael and Pam Starer, all of Warwick. Dr. Frank Greenhall, superintendent of the Warwick Valley Central School District was unable to attend the dinner. In his stead, Dr. Marijane Reinhard, assistant superintendent for curriculum, represented the school district administration. John Connolly, president of the Board of Education, and Paul Hughes, interim principal of Warwick Valley High School also attended. The annual dinner was made possible through the sponsorship of several businesses, including T.D. Bank North, Crystal Run Healthcare, Annese & Assoc., Inc., M & T Bank, Elant, Bank of America, and Nugent & Haeussler, PC.
