Orienteering to have its day

Pleasantville —National Orienteering Day, Saturday, Sept. 17, will bring orienteering instruction and competition to Ringwood State Park, Ringwood, NJ. The Hudson Valley Orienteering Club will give instruction and set beginner courses and advanced courses. Instruction will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the orienteering starts will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine. Youth groups must have signed parent permission forms.
