WARWICK - Who would ever guess that so many Warwick residents owned cowboy hats? But with a record number of tickets sold and a popular “Country Western” theme, the St. Anthony Community Hospital Auxiliary’s (SACHA’s) 35th annual June “Under the Tent” Party, was a sea of ten-gallon Stetsons and Western style straw hats. The June Party was held at Warwick’s Hickory Hill Golf Course on Saturday night, June 17. The picturesque location was even more pleasant than usual thanks to mild temperatures accompanied by a gentle breeze. Seating was under the traditional “tent” and guests enjoyed an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner and gourmet desserts. J&N Music provided the musical entertainment and dancing for the evening. “Our Hickory Hill caterer, Brenda Messenger, and her staff, did a wonderful job,” said Terry Gavan, president of SACHA. “We received many compliments.” Gavan, who served as event chair, also named and thanked the members of her committees as well as the many donors and sponsors, both individuals and businesses, that contributed to the evening’s success. The June Party program also listed a complete description of each prize along with the names of the donors and other supporters who contributed cash or services toward the success of the event. “I would like to thank Terry Gavan and her June Party committees for the many hours devoted to producing such a well-organized and fun event,” said Leah Cerkvenik, executive vice president/administrator of St. Anthony Community Hospital. “I would also like to thank all our guests and sponsors for their support. The success of events like the Auxiliary’s Annual June Party helps us to provide the best possible health care for our community.” The entire proceeds from the June Party will be used to help fund the modernization and expansion of St. Anthony Community Hospital and the Warwick Health Care Campus facilities. The planned improvements are part of the overall modernization of the hospital to better serve the community’s health care needs.
