O&R LIGHTS UP THE HOLIDAYS WITH HOSPICE TREE DONATION

O&R is donating $2,400 to the Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. to replace the three 10-year-old, imitation Christmas trees that serve as the centerpiece for HospiceþÄôs annual Tree of Life fund-raising promotion at the Galleria Mall in Middletown. O&R donated the present trees a decade ago, but the 12-foot-tall, full green trees and their strings of white lights have worn out through the years and further patching is not possible. The new trees will continue a successful annual fund-raising effort during which generous shoppers have hung paper stars representing donations from $10 to $50 each. Those donations total approximately $40,000 per holiday season.
