WARWICK - The St. Anthony Community Hospital Auxiliary’s 35th annual June “Under the Tent” Party will take place on Saturday, June 17, at the Hickory Hill Golf Course, just off Route 17A in Warwick. The theme of this year’s June Party is “Country Western.” Guests are encouraged to be creative but, as always, also have the option of just wearing comfortable jeans, other casual clothing or even more formal attire. Seating for the June Party will be under the traditional “tent” and from 6-11 p.m., guests can enjoy an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner and the now famous gourmet dessert table. J&N Music, last year’s popular DJ, will return to provide the musical entertainment and dancing. There will also be special skits, prizes and surprises and lots of fun. A drawing will be held for the raffle tickets, currently on sale, for 10 prizes of cash and jewelry. The grand prize, courtesy of Provident Bank, is $1,000. Winners need not be present for the drawing. While guests enjoy uninterrupted eating, drinking and dancing, they will also have an opportunity to stroll around a silent auction display and bid on a variety of interesting and valuable merchandise, gift certificates and services donated by individuals, businesses and organizations in the community. Golf enthusiasts, for example, may want to bid on six gift certificates from the award-winning Crystal Springs Golf and Spa Resort and Great Gorge Country Club. The entire proceeds from the June Party will be used to help fund the modernization and expansion of St. Anthony Community Hospital’s emergency room. The planned improvements are part of the overall modernization of the hospital to better serve the community’s healthcare needs. Tickets are $55 per person and may be obtained by contacting Margie Meier-Berry at 986-1882. Organizations or other groups may also reserve entire tables with seating for 10 guests.
