Oops! Sewer tap-in fee already $3,000

Warwick-The Village Board knew the tap-in fee for its sewer service should be $3,000 but the village regulations stated it was just $2,500. So, a public hearing was scheduled to increase it earlier this month. Only problem was the fee already increased to $3,000 in February, 2003. How does that happen? Seems the printer of the village code book made an error. The fee was listed correctly in last year's book. However, the edition that came out in March 2004 had it as $2,500. Needless to say, the public hearing was not necessary and those wishing to connect to the village's sewer system will continue to pay $3,000.
