On the good Sloop Clearwater
| 28 Sep 2011 | 02:59

Despite the rain, members of the Monroe Girl Scout Service Unit, the Boy Scouts, and S.E.E.K. spent an educational morning upon the Clearwater learning about Hudson River history, water quality, marine life, and navigation. Above participants collected water to check for quality while out on the Hudson. Immediately below, the group was taught how to use ropes, buoys, and other equipment. Bottom: everyone joined in to hoist the 3,000-pound sails before returning to harbor.
