Office for the Aging seeks nominees for senior citizen awards
GOSHEN Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana has announced that the Orange County Office for the Aging is taking nominations for the 2007 Orange County Senior Awards Program. The Orange County Office for the Aging is looking for older adults ages 60 and older who truly deserve to be recognized for their achievements as outstanding citizens, because they have volunteered their time and talents to better their community. The Office for the Aging will sponsor awards in two categories: “Orange County Senior Citizen of the Year” and “Outstanding Contribution by a Senior.” Award winners are announced in May by Diana, honored at a luncheon by the Orange County Senior Citizen Council, and will receive their award at the Senior Forum on May 23.
