Warwick - The following items come from Warwick Town Supervisor Michael P. Sweeton’s office: The Town offers best wishes to three long-time employees. Sgt. Jay Thompson, a 20-year veteran of the Village and Town police department, retired March 2 after a distinguished career. Bo Morse (16 ½ years) and Bob Ibbetson (20 years) have retired from the Department of Public Works (photo and story on page 3). “All three have been great employees and we wish them all the best on their retirement,” Sweeton said. Orange County will hold another Hazardous Waste Collection day on Friday, April 7 for businesses and Saturday, April 8 for residents. To pre-register, call 1-800-328-4808. This service is free to all residents. AARP is providing free tax help for middle- and low-income seniors 60 or older. This service is every Thursday and is held at the Reformed Church in Warwick across from the hospital. Call 988-9517 for an appointment. A public hearing entitled “Cross Connections in Municipal Water Systems” will be held on Thursday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall.
