Nominees sought for the Florida Family Fun Fest award

    FLORIDA — The Florida Family Fun Fest is seeking nominations for its Florida “Citizen of the Year,” “Youth Achievement” and “Lifetime Achievement” awards. Letters with nominating forms have been sent to civic organizations, asking them to submit names and credentials of candidates for the honors. Nominations are also invited from individuals. The winners will be honored at the Florida Family Fun Fest on Aug. 10. Letters must document the reason the candidate is being nominated, noting community service activities either during the past year or over a longer period of time. For award purposes, Florida is the geographic area within the Florida Fire District. Forms can be picked up at the village hall, Florida Public Library, S.S. Seward Institute, Golden Hill Elementary School, Village Realty and Marina’s Diner/Deli. Nominations should be sent to : Selection Committee, Florida Family Fun Fest Committee, P.O. Box 505, Florida, 10921, or dropped off at the village hall, no later than March 15.
