Village begins road work on Aug. 1 Warwick - The Village of Warwick will begin road work on Grand Street and Fairview Avenue on Aug. 1; it will continue through Aug. 12. Town’s senior barbecue set for Aug. 23 Warwick - The Town of Warwick will hold its annual barbecue for town residents who are senior citizens on Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Warwick Valley Rotary and the Town of Warwick. It also draws support from many town service organizations as well as local businesses. Any senior citizen resident of the town is treated to hot dogs and a chicken dinner along with music, gifts and a lot of fun. Tickets will be available beginning Aug. 1 through any of the senior clubs throughout the town or by contacting Supervisor Michael Sweeton’s office.
