Mystery photo identities revealed

Warwick - Now we know who they are. This past June Carol Bartnowski, owner of The Inkwell office supply store, 46 Main St., Warwick, came up with an idea to celebrate the graduation season and pay tribute to some well known Warwick residents in the Warwick business community. Bartnowski collected graduation photos of business and other leaders in Warwick. She believed they were the people that most people would recognize today because they own a business, are in public office or, for some other reason, are high profile citizens. Bartnowski displayed the “mystery” photographs in the Inkwell’s storefront window and it caught the attention of many passers by. The early photographs were generally from a high school or college graduation but one thing was certain. The boy or girl in the photo did not look the same today and those who guessed correctly were usually surprised. Recently, The Inkwell posted the names by each photograph and that poster is now in the storefront window. “This was a lot of fun,” said Bartnowski, “ and everyone thanked us for doing this. The people in these photographs are part of the fabric that keeps the Warwick downtown and business community alive and one that continues to be caring and giving. And don’t forget, all of us were graduates at one time.”
