Chester — Musical Munchkins with “Miss Andrea” Soberman celebrated her 15th year teaching the Musical Munchkins program for children four months to five years old in Monroe, Cornwall, Goshen and her newest location in Chester for Saturday classes. “It all began when, 18 years ago, I attended a music workshop for early childhood music educator Eileen Oddo, founder of Musical Munchkins,” said Soberman. “At that time, I was teaching in a Montessori school. Although singing, performing, and dancing, had always been a part of my life, as well as working with young children, it wasn’t until I attended Eileen’s workshop that I realized that I could bring my talents and love of working with children together. I had finally found my life’s work. “Each child has his or her own unique voice, and it’s that special way that our program has in bringing out their own unique special musical sparkle that I believe has been the reason for our success and the reason parents keep coming back year after year , sibling after sibling. “I am very grateful to still be doing this wonderful and joyful work, and I thank all my parents and their beautiful children who have supported Musical Munchkins over these past 15 years.” Soberman gives age specific classes for babies (4 months and up), one-year-olds, two- and three-year-olds with caregiver and Young Musician Series of classes without adult for three- to five-year-olds.
