Museum Village to offer children's programs

MONROE-Summer programs for children 9-12 n including puppet making n are being offered at Museum Village, Route 17M, in Monroe. In the puppet making class Aug. 9-13, the children will create a paper mache puppet, write a script, design scenery and construct a stage for their own production. An apprentice program will be offered Aug. 16- 20. Children will discover first hand the tricks of the trade of 19th Century life by working along side the museums craftspeople. Activities may include: open hearth cooking, candle making, old- fashioned games and much more. Programs run Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $150 per session or $140 for Museum Village members.
