Warwick — Raynor Country Real Estate, the oldest realty agency in the Town of Warwick, is under new management. Barbara L. White and Cathi White, both of Warwick, have assumed the lead roles for the company that has been a Main Street fixture since its founding in the 1950s. Barbara White has been with the Raynor company for 50 years as an agent and head broker, and her daughter, Cathi, has been an Raynor agent for 32 years. Raynor Country was established by Wilfred L. Raynor, a local businessman whose farming family had run a grocery store on Main Street since 1896. The real estate office took over the top floor of the popular grocery and has been a Main Street fixture ever since. Wilfred L. Raynor died in 1980, and at that time Barbara White became a partner of Raynor’s son, Bill Raynor. Bill Raynor maintained the grocery store on the street level for many years, while Barbara White guided the upstairs real estate business, with the views of Main Street out the front windows and the Wawayanda Creek out the back windows. With the recent passing of Bill Raynor, Barbara and Cathi White purchased the Raynor building. They will continue the real estate firm from new quarters in the street-level grocery store, complete with a realty business and the antique trappings of an old shop in the iconic little building on Main Street.
