The following is the latest on academic success of the young men and women from the area: Kristin Marie DeFini of Warwick received her bachelor’s degree in education, with a major in history and minor in psychology, from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh. Christiana E. Yount of Warwick received her BA in physical education at Otterbein College, in Westerville, Ohio.She also was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester for maintaining a GPA of 3.6 or better. Jalil Abdur-Rahman of Warwick graduated in May from Morrisville State College. Abdur-Rahman majored in liberal arts - social science. Aliza Schiff of Warwick will attend Brown University in Providence, R.I., this September. She will be working in the university’s Department of American Civilization toward a master’s degree in Public Humanities. She has been working with the Smithsonian Folkfile Festival in Washington, D.C. Aliza is a 2005 graduate of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a 2001 graduate of Warwick Valley High School. She is the daughter of Beth Kalet and David Schiff of Warwick. The following students from the Orange County have received their undergraduate degree from The University of Scranton: Nicholas J. Connolly, Warwick, BS, Finance, Honors Program.
