Warwick - On Nov.16, correctional officers from the Mid-Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick presented a check to Leo Kaytes, president of Winslow Therapeutic Center’s Board of Directors. The donation was made on behalf of the officers of the Mid Orange Correctional Facility and the New York State Correction Officers Police Benevolent Association (NYSCOPBA). “We are proud to make a donation for this worthy cause” said Mid-Orange Correction Officer Steven Dragonette. In addition to the cash donation, the Mid-Orange Correctional Facility is in the process of arranging work crews to help Winslow clear trails and perform other important ground work. “This will certainly help our staff conduct their therapeutic lessons,” said Kaytes. “Having more beautiful trails on our 100 acres will enhance the value of the therapeutic riding for the children and adults we serve.
