Memorial Day

| 28 Sep 2011 | 02:49

Throughout the communities that make up the Town of Warwick, people paid homage last holiday weekend to the men and women who died in service to the country. Above, Richard O'Neill, 85, watches the parade in Warwick as it proceeds down Forester Avenue. O'Neill is a WW II veteran of the Army "Timber Wolves." At left, the flag flies over the Village of Florida. At right, a scene from ceremonies in Pine Island. As one writer put it: Norman Rockwell could have filled an art gallery.
