Children and adults at Temple Beth Shalom in the Village of Florida have collected items for victims of Hurricane Katrina and packed them up to send to Jacobs' Ladder, a relief project of the Union for Reform Judaism. Jacobs' Ladder is based at the URJ's Henry S. Jacobs Camp in Utica, Mississippi. Working in partnership with the town of Utica, the Union and Jacobs Camp are operating a staging and distribution center for relief supplies from a warehouse provided by the city. Shown here are Matt Markowitz, Max Cahn and his father Steve Cahn loading boxes on a truck outside of Temple Beth Shalom in the village of Florida to send off to Jacobs' Ladder.
