Marge Bezares-Lopata offers ‘A Great Place' to buy, sell or rent a house

Warwick — Marge Bezares-Lopata has a lot to offer her real estate clients. She’s got more than 15 years experience in the business, so she knows how important it is to cross her T’s and dot her I’s. “The most important thing for me is getting the deal through,” said Bezares-Lopata from her comfortable home office on Division Street in the Village of Warwick. “I lose very few deals.” Bezares-Lopata just opened her agency, appropriately named “A Great Place Realty.” Where did she come up with such a catchy name? It wasn’t by choice really. Her first few name choices were turned down by the state. She wanted to open an agency that would be a great place for clients — hence the name. Bezares-Lopata promises customer service will be the focal point of her agency. “You are not just a number to me,” she said. “You are working with the owner of the agency all the time. I am honest and I have integrity. I think many people want to work with a small agency.” Bezares-Lopata decided to open her office from her home here in Warwick where she’s lived with her husband for the past four years, after many years of working for other, larger agencies. She has a full-time office manager and is looking to hire experienced agents. What does her agency offer to Realtors that others may not? For one thing, Bezares-Lopata said, there won’t be countless deductions from your commission whenever you sell a house. “Working for a franchise, there are lots of deductions. You won’t have this here,” she said. As for clients, Bezares-Lopata said she will be a full service agency, working with buyers and sellers, as well as with renters and landlords, something other agencies are not specialized in. “I do a lot of rentals,” she said. “It is a good place to start.” And renters will be able to use a credit card, if they wish, to pay their rental fees. Bezares-Lopata is also very community minded. In addition to belonging to several community groups, like Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Orange County, she goes the extra mile for her clients. She helped set up a tag sale for one of her clients who had Parkinson’s Disease. Bezares-Lopata is bi-lingual, writing, reading and speaking both English and Spanish. She serves Orange and Rockland counties. “I want people to feel comfortable with me and my office,” she said. “Our slogan is ‘You’re at home with A Great Place Realty’.
