Man arrested for brandishing gun

greenwood lake — A man was charged with menacing, reckless endangerment, and criminal weapons possession after threatening others with a gun at a restaurant, according to Thomas F. McGovern Jr., the Warwick chief of police. At about 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, a caller complained to the police about a man displaying and threatening others with a gun at the Wiseguys Restaurant at 40 Jersey Ave. in the Greenwood Lake section of town. The police said they interviewed witnesses, and located and identified the weapon involved. The police arrested Vitor Frroki, 33, of Spring Valley, N.Y., and charged him with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a felony; reckless endangerment in the second degree, a misdemeanor; and menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Frroki was arraigned before Warwick Town Justice Nancy DeAngelo and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. The Warwick Police were assisted at the scene by the Greenwood Lake Police, New York State Police, the West Milford, N.J., Police, the Town of Chester Police, and the Orange County sheriff’s office.
