Madeline Hoey of Warwick showed she had a big heart last month when the 10-year-old student had nearly 11 inches of her hair cut off that she donated to Locks of Love, a charity which takes the hair and makes wigs for children undergoing cancer treatments. Madeline’s hair was cut by Kristen at Cut to the Chase in Warwick; salon owner Anne Marie did not to charge for the hair cut and Madeline will in turn donate the money along with her hair. Madeline’s mom, Nanette, said her daughter was inspired by other children she has seen in past issues of The Warwick Advertiser and The Dispatch and wanted to help by donating her hair this Christmas.
