Local resident auditions for American Idol

Warwick - Pine Island resident Toni Korfhage auditioned for the popular TV series, “American Idol,” on Monday, Aug. 14. “If I make the cut,” Korfhage said, “I’ll be on the television show next March.” At a recent cocktail reception for state Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt, the talented contestant offered a sample of her audition selection with her rendition of “You light up my life.” The audience loved it. “American Idol” has become one of the most highly publicized music competitions in the world. It is shown on the Fox Network.
