    — The Village of Warwick Planning Board tabled any action on the application of 16 Elm Street, LLC - Yesterday’s Restaurant and Bar – at the request of the applicant’s attorney last week.
Site plan approval was on the planning board’s Nov. 16 agenda. In a letter to the planning board, attorney John Cappello requested that the board table the matter until its December meeting while he gathers information that was requested from the October public hearing.
Cappello said he wants to have a comprehensive response to the issues raised at the public hearing. The letter states he intends to have the response in time for the Dec. 21 meeting.
The information must be received by the planning board by Dec. 7, according to Maureen Evans, the planning board secretary, in order for the board to review it in time for the meeting.
Yesterday’s Restaurant and Bar has been located on Main Street in the Village of Warwick for more than 30 years. Its owner, John Christison, plans to build a larger restaurant at 16 Elm Street.
The new location would include a 3,600 square foot indoor restaurant with 2,000 square feet of outdoor deck seating, for a total seating capacity of 202.
The proposal has garnered much concern to those in the surrounding area who fear that the increase in traffic and noise will destroy their quiet neighborhood.
