Yes

On Tuesday, May 21, voters in the Warwick Valley School District gave a big thumbs-up to the $95,089,284 school budget for 2019-20.
The budget reflects a spending increase of $2,269,535, or 2.45 percent, and an increase to the tax levy of $1,648,633, or 2.69 percent - just under the 2.85 percent tax cap allowed under New York State law.
(By comparison, Schools Superintendent Dr. David Leach said that he heard from colleagues that Minisink Valley school officials were asking their voters to approve a school budget with an eight percent increase to their tax levy.)
Initial counts have the “yes” votes at better than 2 to 1: 968 (69.5 percent) in favor of the budget versus 425 opposed.
The administration expects to certify the election results later in the week.
There are 16,961 registered voters in the district.
Leach said he was "concerned about low turnout” for this year’s vote: “(That’s) primarily a sign of (being below) the tax cap,” he said.
Buses
Proposition 2 on the ballot - seeking residents’ approval for the district to replace school buses that have exceeded their serviceable lifespan - was similarly successful: 937 “yes” votes to 453 voting “no.”
School board
Incumbent school board members Eilleen Gagliano, Denise Ginley and Keith Parsons all were re-elected (they ran unopposed), with vote totals of 1,079, 1,117 and 1,085 respectively.
