— It's called, "Cruisers for Critters," and on Saturday, Sept. 8, WTBQ Radio (1110 AM/93.5 FM) will sponsor an all day Classic Car and Bike Show at the Warwick Drive-In.
All bike and car lovers are invited to participate for a day of fun, food trucks, craft beer, great music, raffles and 50/50 while giving back to a very deserving organization, the Warwick Valley Humane Society, which is in dire need of a new building.
WTBQ owner Frank Truatt and Station Manager Taylor Sterling are sponsoring Cruisers for Critters along with Liz Cruz of Moroney's Harley in New Windsor, Times Herald-Record "My Ride" columnist Donna Kessler, Tom Lovelace of The Lovelace Experience and The Armonia Band.
D.J. Shark will also be supplying the best of four decades of music as his gift to the Humane Society.
The Piranha Grill, The Empanada Truck, Glenmere Brewing Co. (craft beer) and Lickety Split will be on hand all day starting at 11 a.m.
All cars and bikes are welcome.
There will be 36 trophies awarded so come early and stay late, meet new friends and make a difference.
There is no entry fee for the bikes, cars or the public. All they ask is that you make a donation to the Warwick Valley Humane Society.
"I implore you all," said Sterling, "to take a tour of the animal shelter so you fully comprehend the needs that the Warwick Valley Humane Society has. One look at those innocent faces who have been abused, abandoned and neglected and you will be driving in to share in making a difference in their lives."
If you have a business, service or you are a professional and would like to donate a gift certificate or a basket of goodies, please contact Taylor@wtbq.com. All proceeds go directly to the Warwick Valley Humane Society.
