WTBQ offers new local programs

WARWICK — The retiring of the Neal Boortz show has opened up new slots for local programming on Warwick’s own WTBQ radio (1110 AM/ 93.5 FM).

“From Wall Street to Main Street”with Warwick Valley Financial Advisors is one of several new shows to make the new 2013 line-up.

You may hear them every Friday morning at 10 a.m., followed by “The Lawyer Guy,” with attorney Bob Krahulik at 10:30 a.m. offering expert legal advice.

Also added is “The Home Wizards” on Thursday mornings from 10 a.m. until noon, “Chasing G” on Fridays from noon to 1 p.m. and “Speak Up” with Zack Kruk, Wednesdays at 10 a.m.

“We’re excited to bring new talent to the airwaves,” station owner Frank Truatt said in a press release announcing the changes. “We believe in keeping it local and these new shows are in line with that core philosophy. We hope the community will listen in and continue to support local radio.”
