Wine and Design celebrates grand opening

WARWICK — Elected officials and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors joined Jennifer Marsh, her family and staff for the grand opening of her new business, Wine & Design, on Friday, Aug. 30.
Wine & Design, a franchise located in the Meadowcrest Plaza at 133 Route 94 South, offers a range of art classes, from private parties and date night events, to paint it forward fund raisers and kid’s summer camps.
“We offer a fun painting environment for individuals and groups of all ages,” said Marsh, who lives in Warwick with her husband and two sons ages two and 11. “Our two-hour painting classes are instructed by a local artist, with stroke by stroke instructions to ensure that everyone leaves with a masterpiece. Make great memories, share some wine, and brush up on your painting abilities with Wine and Design.”
According to the franchiser’s Web site, Wine & Design was founded with a passion to find something new, exciting and a little bit crazy to bring to customer’s hometowns so they can unleash their creative side.
The painting classes are open to beginners as well as more experienced artists. Although there is ample opportunity to learn and have the pleasure and satisfaction of creating your own artwork, Wine & Design is unlike more intensive art lessons.
“We’re not looking to turn someone into the next Van Gogh,” said Marsh. “Our classes are designed to be laid back and to be fun without any pressure.”
Classes are not only held at the new studio in Warwick but also at outside locations.
“Be sure to keep an eye out for our Wine and Design on Wheels events, where we take our painting classes on the road to local business establishments,” said Marsh. “For example we will be painting at Palaia Vineyards in Highland Mills on Sept. 10 and at Bella Vista Holiday Day Spa in Westtown on Sept. 12 for their Ladies Night Out event.
