West Milford Dog Training Center to host open house Dec. 1-2

WEST MILFORD, N.J. — West Milford Dog Training Center is opening for business with an open house on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for people only.
The training center is located at 26 Industrial Road (Airport Road, first left on Industrial) in West Milford.
The center the West Milford Dog Training Center has a 1,800-square-foot training area with anti-fatigue matting in a climate controlled building. Training offered is designed for the family dog and includes both private lessons and group training, special classes, as well as puppy socialization and games.
Owner-trainer Jennifer Basile has extensive education in dog training and is an active competitor in agility, herding and rally performance events. She started working with shelter dogs in 1980.
“I saw many dogs being ‘done away with’ due to miscommunications between owners and dogs," Basile said. "I decided to make a difference and help these dogs. With these dogs my experience, skills, and talents for understanding the individual dog has been my greatest strength and has given me the ability to train with compassion and respect."
Classes will start in December with a full schedule starting in January.
