It’s that time again to celebrate Mother’s Day at the grand re-opening of the Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market, which will open for the 26th year on Sunday, May 12.
The Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market is open Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Village South Street parking lot.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will officially kick off the market season at 10:30 a.m.
Family-friendly specialty programs will be offered at the market opening day as well as throughout the season.
On May 12, the trio Wee Doggies takes the stage, performing acoustic bluegrass music. And that day kids are invited to “Make an Apron for Mom,” creating family fun while celebrating Mothers’ Day.
Amy Sweetman of “AGRISCULPTURE” will be hosting a monthly Youth Program, offering free activities for children.
The market, which runs every Sunday from May 12 through Nov. 24 features farmers and vendors offering a wide variety of farm-fresh produce, meats, prepared foods, jams, jellies, baked goods and pastries, flowers, plants, honey, maple syrup, wine and soaps.
“We’re looking forward to a great season,” said Cheryl Rogowski, chair of the Warwick Valley Farmers Market.
