Warwick Village Board changes overall speed limit to 25 mph

WARWICK — The Warwick Village Board recently voted to change the overall Village speed limit to 25 mph.
The new speed limit includes all village street. The following streets, however, will remain at the posted speed limit:
• Colonial Avenue
• Galloway Road
• Oakland Avenue
• Maple Avenue
• Main Street.
Village officials also noted that there are lower speed limits in school zones.
"This is an effort to create a more pedestrian friendly and safer environment throughout the village," the village said in press release announcing the change. "Please drive carefully, watch out for children, walkers, and bicyclists. Observe the pedestrian crosswalks. When it comes to safety, everything can wait."
